Staircases for Marylebone School
Staco Gratings UK worked with Gumuchdjian Architects on the redevelopment of Marylebone school. With space being at a premium the architect had to come up with a complex design by having various rooms below ground level. With this design layout, various staircases were required. With this being a school the mesh 33x11 was the most suitable for application. The grating was not only used on the stair cases but in other area's with different loadings. This is where we used the 50x3 and 60x3mm bearing bar.
Work with the architect started 3 years prior to the items being delivered with various products and designs being looked at before being finalised. With a high architectural finish required our grating was the perfect solution.
