The National Stadium in Warsaw construction started in 2008 and finished in 2011.The official stadium opening took place in January 2012. It is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the World.
It was built with a view to organize the tournament of the UEFA EURO 2012 European Football Championship. Three group matches including the opening match, one quarterfinal and one semifinal were held there. Actually it is the most modern sport arena in Poland, among other things with 58.000 seats for spectators, collapsible roof and impressive elevation carried out in colours of the national banner. There was used for instance 173 000 m3 of concrete, as much as needed to build 5.700 detached houses, and 14.500 tons of steel, as much as the total weight of 64 jumbojets. Whereas the roof total area is approximately 40.000 m2 and operational area is over 200.000 m2.
With proud we would like to announce, that Staco Polska participated in this huge project. We have produced and galvanised approximately 1.886 m2 of Staco pressed gratings type RH and 52 m2 of Staco welded gratings type SP. Moreover Staco Nederland supplied 325 m2 of pressed gratings type RK. The gratings were used for technical platforms in the crown of the stadium and for covers of the ventilating ducts.
